Gap Year Options

IDA’s Gap Year is designed for student-athletes who want to focus on development, experience a professional training environment, and prepare for their next step — on the field, in the classroom, or both.

Soccer Focused

Our core offering for players who wish to prioritize athletic progression and professional exposure above all else.

  • Full-Time Football: Participate in daily professional-level training, video analysis, and strength and conditioning.
  • Competition & Exposure: Regular match play and exposure to scouts and professional technical directors.
  • No Required Academics: This option does not require academic enrollment, allowing for total focus on the game.
  • Optional Flexibility: Academic coursework or resources may be added optionally, but are not a requirement.

Pre-Collegiate Academic

For student-athletes who want to stay academically sharp while focusing on soccer, this optional track layers college-level coursework onto the training schedule.

  • Online Coursework: Flexible, college-level courses completed alongside full-time training.
  • Asynchronous Learning: Courses are delivered virtually, allowing student-athletes to access materials 24/7 and complete assignments on their own schedule.
  • U.S. Partner Colleges: Taught by certified professors from regionally accredited U.S. partner institutions.
